November winners post 1

Hello and welcome to my November winners post!!

Please give a warm welcome to my November THANK YOU challenge winner

Her process is always AMAZING, so please read the entire post and leave her lots of love!!
Be inspired to play along my December CHRISTMAS challenge!

I'm Raga from Perky Hobby and I'm super thrilled to be guest designing at Paru's Card Making Challenges. Thank you Paru for having me.

I'm from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, currently staying in Gurgaon, Haryana with my husband and two adorable kids (daughter of 7 years old and son of 3 years old). Im a stay at home mom and have started taking art and craft classes for kids now.
I love to illustrate and mostly all of my cards hold my illustrations. Im a bit wonky towards CAS style of cardmaking and I love to make interactive cards too. I'm new to the stamping world and I'm still learning new techniques and tricks!! You can see my works here...

For this month's challenge theme of Christmas, I have made a card using Christmas wreath. The front panel of the card was head embossed with white embossing powder using brick stencil from Itsy Bitsy craft store. For making the wreath, I took an old bangle of my daughter and wrapped it with a green pipe cleaner and added some rhinestones for berries.

Finished the wreath with bells and a a bow, Then I mounted my wreath on an embossed card stock and added a strip of vellum holding the sentiment Merry Christmas from Create a Smile cool buddies stamp set. I distressed the edges using gold splash ink. Finished my card by adhering it to the vertically folded base card stock.

For the shaker tag, I took a Kraft card stock and fussy cut it. To create the snow falling effect, I splattered Fevicol and water mix, heat embossed with white embossing powder. I don't hold any chunky glitters to add in, so I stuffed art stones by crushing them a little.
the snowscape was using had torn white paper. I sealed it with an acetate piece and a kraft frame using double sided foam tape. I used Christmas tree stamp from the same cool buddies stamp set, coloured using watercolours and added glossy accent for the baubles. Finished my tag, with the same sentiment and tied it together using red satin ribbon.

Hope you are all inspired to play along the challenge. Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Crafting.
Cheers!!

INSPIRATION

To start off, I layered red and green Simon Says Stamp Stitched die cut panels on a white card base.
I then die cut the elf legs, put them upside down on a tag die cut and added the sentiment from Craftangles  'santa claus' stamp set.

I added some twine and some shiny stars and the card was done.
Quick and simple!

Here, I started out with a tag, die cut from Kraft card stock. On this I stamped the mason jar and christmas elements from a Hero Arts stamp set.
I coloured it in and used mu white gel pen to add some details for interest. The sentiment is from Craftangles 'Season's greeetings' stamp set.
I added some red and white bakers twine to finish the card.

I also made these super fun Santa
Claus gift envelopes. They are pretty simple.. a piece of black paper wrapped around the envelope and a square frame cut out of gold and silver glitter card stock, along with a stamped and fussy cut sentiment from Craftangles.

I hope these cards, inspire you to
bring out those Christmas goodies and come and play!

October Challenge winners post.

Hello!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Please welcome the winners of the October TOUCH OF GOLD challenge!
I'm so very sorry for the delay in  posting their work.
Without any delay...here goes...

Karthika Balasubramanian

I’m Karthikha from K's Kards and Krafts and I'm super glad to be a guest designer at PCM.
Thank you Paru for this lovely opportunity! :)
I am from Tamilnadu, recently moved to the US with my loving husband and darling daughter. Currently, I am a SAHM and crafting has been my hobby since my childhood. I’ve always loved doing something creative and I got it from my mom, who has tried various art forms! However I’m now stuck to Paper crafts – Cards and Quilling. I entered the blog land of crafting a few years back and got to know a loooot of tools, techniques, crafters, blogs, types of crafts and more!! And I’m still learning! You can find my work here,

Blog: http://loveforkrafts.blogspot.in
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KsKardsAndKrafts/

For this month's challenge 'Thank You', I've made a card using Altenew's Starry Flowers stamp and die set, colored with distress inks and Faber Castell watercolor pencils. The background is a lovely watercolor patterned paper from Dress My Craft. The sentiment is stamped using Versafine Onyx black ink. I've added a few sequins and also some glitter and shine to the flowers using Wink of Stella shimmer to complete the card. For the matching tag, the tag shape is diecut using Crafter's Companion tag dies. The flower is stamped from Mudra's Floral Silhouette using distress inks. It is similar to the card and I've added a matching purple polka dots ribbon to finish it. Hope you like my card and the matching tag! Get inspired and play along :)

INSPIRATION

Today I have the fabulous
as my Guest designer!

About the card, Deepti says...

"To make this card, I masked and stamped the image in a light shade of distress ink and then did no line watercolouring.
I fussy cut the image and layered it onto a text print patterned paper."

I have a couple more projects to inspire you further.

To make the card, I started out with a masking fluid and water colour panel that I had made a while ago. I used the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die to cut it to size. I then die cut 'Thanks' (a Winnie and Walter die) and inlaid it with ivory coloured cardstock, cut with the same die.
I then adhered this panel to a red card base and added the white heat embossed sentiment on black card, to finish the card. I also added some Craftangles sequins to add some interest.

To make the tag, I started out with a couple of  die cut circles using Simon Says Stamp stitched circle dies. I gold embossed a mandala (from Craftangles) on the red circle and add the Thank You die cut from Penny Black (which has been layered three times).
I adhered the red circle to the white one with 3D foam tape and added some multicoloured red string to finish the tag.

I hope you have been inspired to play along with my THANK YOU challenge!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

I will have more inspiration coming your way soon, during the month,
from the winners of the October challenge.

September Winners post 2.

Hello!
Here are the winners of the September Challenge, with some fabulous creations for the
Im so sorry my post is late..things have been a bit busy!

First up, I have the amazingly talented

Deepti Aggarwal

Hello Everyone,
I'm Deepti Aggarwal and my blog is Vishesh Collections. I recently moved to Belgium from Bangalore, India due to my Hubby's work assignment. I'm mad about crafting so much that as soon as I shifted here ..the first thing I searched for was...Crafting shop near me... he he he.. I bet lots of you would be like me only...😉
And...I'm really super duper excited to be guest designing for Paru's Card Making Challenge. Thank you so much Paru for having me here. The theme for the current challenge is " A touch of Gold". And here is what I've created.. Totally festive..

To make this card, I took A2 size card stock and gold embossed it using string of lights stamp from Winnie & Walter's -Happy Owlidays with Evelin T Designs stamp set. Then, I ink blended it using rainbow colors distress inks as shown and further colored the lights with watercolors in same tone. Once satisfied, I die cut it using rectangle dies from Winnie& Walter's - Essentials: Lana Cutaways. After that, I adhered it on white note card.

Then , I die cut out the happy (from Do crafts) Diwali (from sizzix alphabet dies) sentiment using gold glitter foam sheet. Adhered the same on the card base. For the final touch up, I added glossy accent to these rainbow lights. Here are some more pics which I've clicked from different angle to show you gold embossing and glossy accent effect..

I hope you have been inspired to play along with current challenge.
Looking forward to see what you create..
Happy Crafting!!

Next,  to inspire you, is the absolutely amazing

ISHANI

Hello there!
I am Ishani, know as Quillish to the crafting world.
I currently live with my husband and my 3 year old son, in Pune.
I have served in the Indian Air Force for 10 years and now I am a stay-at-home-mom,
who loves to craft.

My first submission for a challenge and a win was at Paru's Card Making Challenges (May 2017). It was such a delight and a pat on the back and since then I have not stopped.
I love to learn and experiment with new techniques, but, think I'm slightly bent toward the CAS style of card making. I am on the design teams of Indian Quilling Challenge, CAS-ual Friday challenges and Cupcake challenges. I am delighted to share a card with the  TOUCH OF GOLD to inspire you to play along at the challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to link up your entry for the challenge HERE!

September winners post

Hello!
Please welcome
Manisha Ayyapath
the winner of the guest designer post for the September 'Anything Goes Challenge'!
Here she is with some fabulous inspiration for the October 'TOUCH OF GOLD' challenge.

Hello Everyone!
Manisha here!
I'm currently a full-time crafter, having quit my job to take care of my little daughter.
This break allowed me to explore the wonders of the crafting world and now I'm totally hooked :)
My interests very widely-cardmaking,scrapbooking, mixed-media and now I'm even into making home decor products. Recently I started a venture where I sell all the handmade items that I make-The Simple Joys Store.
You can check it out on www.instagram/the.simple.joys.store

I'm absolutely excited to be guest designing for Paru's Card Making Challenge! and what got me more excited is this month's theme- A TOUCH OF GOLD! I just love adding gold elements in my projects-kind of like a weakness :D
so needless to say I had super fun working on today's projects.
So let's see the card and the tag I made for this challenge.

For this I created a background cut file and had it cut on a matte gold cardstock using my Silhouette Curio. Then I had some fun with Ranger's Alcohol Inks and created some backgrounds. I then die cut the backgrounds using Altenew's floral Fantasy 3D die set.
For the center piece of the flowers and a couple of leaves I used the same gold cardstock to add that touch of gold.
I then adhered the gold frame on the card base and then arranged my die cuts towards the base of the card. To balance out the whole look, I added a sentiment-black on gold and finished off the card with some black ink splatters.

Moving on to the tag.
I created a simple tag which features some gold heat embossed from Altenew's Adore You stamp set to add that gold element. I used glitter gold embossing power that lends a different charm of its own.
I then colored the flowers with color pencils and markers. The sentiment is heat embossed in black.
I then added a few gold and black splatters as I just love to do that :D
Attached a brown ribbon to the tag to complete it.

Hope you guys enjoyed my projects and are inspired to play along.
You can link up your projects here.
