INSPIRATION

To start off, I layered red and green Simon Says Stamp Stitched die cut panels on a white card base.
I then die cut the elf legs, put them upside down on a tag die cut and added the sentiment from Craftangles  'santa claus' stamp set.

I added some twine and some shiny stars and the card was done.
Quick and simple!

Here, I started out with a tag, die cut from Kraft card stock. On this I stamped the mason jar and christmas elements from a Hero Arts stamp set.
I coloured it in and used mu white gel pen to add some details for interest. The sentiment is from Craftangles 'Season's greeetings' stamp set.
I added some red and white bakers twine to finish the card.

I also made these super fun Santa
Claus gift envelopes. They are pretty simple.. a piece of black paper wrapped around the envelope and a square frame cut out of gold and silver glitter card stock, along with a stamped and fussy cut sentiment from Craftangles.

I hope these cards, inspire you to
bring out those Christmas goodies and come and play!

INSPIRATION

Today I have the fantastic

of

as Guest designer

Hello Crafty friends,
I am so excited to be back!
This month’s theme is Birthday.

I have used supplies from various brands.
But the idea was to use that word balloon stamp from Mama Elephant.
It was lying in my stash so I decided to ink it up.
I paired it with another ME set – Cat’s Meow .
I have use Copic Markers to colour the images.

The tag die is by L'il Inker Designs and balloons are by Sunny Stamp Studio. (Aren’t they amazing?)
I used  Altenew inks to stamp these layered balloons. Sentiment is by Jane’s Doodles.
I tried to use  similar colours in card and tag to make it look like a set,
even though I have used completely different
 products.
I Hope you feel inspired to take part this month.

To Inspire you some more,
I have a fun birthday card and tag too.
June-July belong to the zodiac sign of Cancer,
so I decided to explore the theme of zodiac signs and constellations.
I printed out a definition of the word 'Cancerian' to highlight their traits,
on a piece of textured cardstock.
I then masked off an area on the card and created a galaxy background using
Tim Holtz distress inks and oxides.
I  drew the constellation 'CANCER' using a white gel pen. I added little stars with the gel pen too.
I added some self adhesive gemstones to add some sparkle to the constellation.
I surrounded this constellation with a birthday die cut circle from MFT dienamics,
and added the stamped sentiment from My Favourite Things stamps' 'Space Explorer' stamp set.

For the gift tag, I started out by stamping the Impression Obsession Rose background with
Tim Holtz 'Black Soot' Distress ink.
I then cut it out into a tag using  Spellbinders Nestabilities dies.
I then added a die cut rose from Winnie and Walter and a gold embossed sentiment from Hero Arts.
I finished the tag with a piece of black bakers twine.

I hope Neha and I have inspired you to come over and play!

INSPIRATION

For the first card, I used the 'Stitched Roses' stamp set from Waffle Flower.
I stamped it in two shades of grey to create a background and
the focal image in three shades of pink ink.
This is the first time I have attempted to make a card using the Eclipse technique.
I die cut the word MOTHER after I finished all the stamping.
I then die cut the word three more times out of pink cardstock.
I then layered the word to add dimension.
You can see a great video for this technique here.
I finished the card using a stamped sentiment from Simon Says Stamp 'Mother's Day' stamp set.

For the second card, I die cut a bunch of guitars on a piece of white cardstock panel.
I then die cut the guitars from black cardstock and inlaid them on the white panel.
I then cut the guitar detail piece from different colours of cardstock
and then adhered them to the guitars.
I added a gold embossed sentiment (from Hero Arts) on vellum
and some gold sequins to finish the card.

 To inspire you some more,
This month my Guest Designer is

the most popular

Jasleen Kaur

Hello!
I'm Jasleen and I feel so happy to be invited over at Paru's Card Making Challenges blog as a Guest Designer.
I started my crafting and blogging journey about five years ago when I accidentally stumbled upon some beautiful handmade cards while surfing the internet.
Card making and quilling are what I enjoy the most, and I'm more inclined toward the clean and simple, minimalist style of card making.
I mostly draw my inspiration from the simple things I come across in day to day life and when I need to recharge my mind with a creative dose of inspiration, visiting blogs of other card makers and crafters helps a lot.

You can view more of my work on my blog Happily Ever Crafter or my Instagram Account

Thank you Paru, for this opportunity.

The theme for this month's challenge is "COLOURS".
I made a card and tag keeping the theme in mind.

Making this CAS one layered card involved masking, stamping and sponging. The images are from two different stamp sets by My Favourite things- 'Hog Heaven' and 'Beary Special birthday' and the sentiment is from MFT's 'Hug in a mug' stamp set.
These images were coloured using Zig clean colour real brush pens.
Sponging was done with the help of distress inks.

Here is the tag.

The floral dies are from Sizzix thinlite die set-"Garden Florals". These were partially coloured using various colours of distress inks. I wanted to arrange these against a background that;s subtle and not too over powering, so I decided to paint some free hand watercoloured gray lines. I like how the muted background helps the flowers appear bright.
The 'Hello' is a diefrom Sizzix thinlits die set 'Hello doily'.

I hope this post inspires you to play along with this month's
COLOURFUL challenge!
I am waiting to see you lovely cards and tags!

Jasleen's creations are just WOW! Aren't they!!

Now for some inspiration...

I made this card for my pizza loving husband!! Sunday dinner is usually pizza night...an activity which my husband and teenage son  have fun sharing...they usually argue about the pizzas though!!
When I was looking through my stamps, I thought this stamp from the PaperSmooches 'Think Fast " stamp set was perfect for the occasion!
For the background, I used the cutlery background cling stamp from Hero Arts.  The sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamps Fathers' Day stamp set.

I used two  stamps from the same Paper smooches stamp set as well as the same background stamp as above for this tag!
I cut the circle using Simon Says Stamp stitched circles  and punched a hole to add the bakes twine to finish the tag. All images are watercoloured using Sakura Koi watercolours, fussy cut and popped up with 3D foam tape to add dimention and interest.

I hope I have inspired you to think outside the box on this theme!

JUNE GUEST DESIGNER

What can I say about her that you don't already know!!!! She is the queen of card making!
I am so honoured that she is my guest designer for this month!!!!
Here's what she has to say about herself!

About Me

I'm blessed with two wonderful adult children and a loving and supportive husband. In my little world,I love creating cards, traveling and making yummy food.  I am currently on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge DT. I am the founder/host of Virginia's View Challenge.  I discovered stamping nearly 20 years ago and has been fascinated by it. I have entered countless challenges and contests, with many failures. But no matter how good I feel about each card, I strive to make the next one better! Being passionate about trying new techniques that intrigue, I love to share ideas and creations in my blog. I truly appreciate the fellow card-maker/bloggers' positive feedback and I hope to encourage other fellow card-makers as much as I can. Thank you, Paru, for inviting me to be your guest design for June!

About the card:
I created the background with the stencil (Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Gear) with Distress Crayons. By applying and mixing the colors with my finger tips, the background was easy to create. I then lightly applied some Wendi Vecchi Embossing Paste (white) over and let dry. After that, I stamped the sentiment from Brushed Happy Sentiment Set (from The Ton Stamp). For final touches, I attached the globe from TH Souvenir Adornments with strings.

About the tag:
I stamped the Hero Arts Goldfish in Distress Inks (Carved Pumpkin and Festive Berries) with the help of MISTI. After stamping the image, I clear-embossed the fish. I did the same with the sea weed/grass in Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and Scuba (Simon Says Stamp). After that, I sprayed blue mist (  Lindy's Gang Steel Shimmer Glitz Spritz and Heidi Swapp Project Life Spritz). Once the paint dried, I embossed the sentiment with Hero Arts Platinum EP. I added the droplets with Per White Opel Liquid Pearls. I added the adornment/twines for the tag.
The tag is for my son who is leaving for an Engineering internship in San Francisco ( I live in Canada) tomorrow! Oh boy, I am gonna really miss him!
