September Winners post 2.

Hello!
Here are the winners of the September Challenge, with some fabulous creations for the
Im so sorry my post is late..things have been a bit busy!

First up, I have the amazingly talented

Deepti Aggarwal

Hello Everyone,
I'm Deepti Aggarwal and my blog is Vishesh Collections. I recently moved to Belgium from Bangalore, India due to my Hubby's work assignment. I'm mad about crafting so much that as soon as I shifted here ..the first thing I searched for was...Crafting shop near me... he he he.. I bet lots of you would be like me only...😉
And...I'm really super duper excited to be guest designing for Paru's Card Making Challenge. Thank you so much Paru for having me here. The theme for the current challenge is " A touch of Gold". And here is what I've created.. Totally festive..

To make this card, I took A2 size card stock and gold embossed it using string of lights stamp from Winnie & Walter's -Happy Owlidays with Evelin T Designs stamp set. Then, I ink blended it using rainbow colors distress inks as shown and further colored the lights with watercolors in same tone. Once satisfied, I die cut it using rectangle dies from Winnie& Walter's - Essentials: Lana Cutaways. After that, I adhered it on white note card.

Then , I die cut out the happy (from Do crafts) Diwali (from sizzix alphabet dies) sentiment using gold glitter foam sheet. Adhered the same on the card base. For the final touch up, I added glossy accent to these rainbow lights. Here are some more pics which I've clicked from different angle to show you gold embossing and glossy accent effect..

I hope you have been inspired to play along with current challenge.
Looking forward to see what you create..
Happy Crafting!!

Next,  to inspire you, is the absolutely amazing

ISHANI

Hello there!
I am Ishani, know as Quillish to the crafting world.
I currently live with my husband and my 3 year old son, in Pune.
I have served in the Indian Air Force for 10 years and now I am a stay-at-home-mom,
who loves to craft.

My first submission for a challenge and a win was at Paru's Card Making Challenges (May 2017). It was such a delight and a pat on the back and since then I have not stopped.
I love to learn and experiment with new techniques, but, think I'm slightly bent toward the CAS style of card making. I am on the design teams of Indian Quilling Challenge, CAS-ual Friday challenges and Cupcake challenges. I am delighted to share a card with the  TOUCH OF GOLD to inspire you to play along at the challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to link up your entry for the challenge HERE!

Have a great day!

September winners post

Hello!
Please welcome
Manisha Ayyapath
the winner of the guest designer post for the September 'Anything Goes Challenge'!
Here she is with some fabulous inspiration for the October 'TOUCH OF GOLD' challenge.

Hello Everyone!
Manisha here!
I'm currently a full-time crafter, having quit my job to take care of my little daughter.
This break allowed me to explore the wonders of the crafting world and now I'm totally hooked :)
My interests very widely-cardmaking,scrapbooking, mixed-media and now I'm even into making home decor products. Recently I started a venture where I sell all the handmade items that I make-The Simple Joys Store.
You can check it out on www.instagram/the.simple.joys.store

I'm absolutely excited to be guest designing for Paru's Card Making Challenge! and what got me more excited is this month's theme- A TOUCH OF GOLD! I just love adding gold elements in my projects-kind of like a weakness :D
so needless to say I had super fun working on today's projects.
So let's see the card and the tag I made for this challenge.

For this I created a background cut file and had it cut on a matte gold cardstock using my Silhouette Curio. Then I had some fun with Ranger's Alcohol Inks and created some backgrounds. I then die cut the backgrounds using Altenew's floral Fantasy 3D die set.
For the center piece of the flowers and a couple of leaves I used the same gold cardstock to add that touch of gold.
I then adhered the gold frame on the card base and then arranged my die cuts towards the base of the card. To balance out the whole look, I added a sentiment-black on gold and finished off the card with some black ink splatters.

Moving on to the tag.
I created a simple tag which features some gold heat embossed from Altenew's Adore You stamp set to add that gold element. I used glitter gold embossing power that lends a different charm of its own.
I then colored the flowers with color pencils and markers. The sentiment is heat embossed in black.
I then added a few gold and black splatters as I just love to do that :D
Attached a brown ribbon to the tag to complete it.

Hope you guys enjoyed my projects and are inspired to play along.

INSPIRATION

To inspire you this month, I have made a card using Craftangles glimmer pastes in white and gold!
These are so much fun to use and they add so much sparkle and shine to any project!

To create the card background, I used the Craftangles abstract circles stencil and the Craftangles 'fairy dust' glimmer paste and set it aside to dry.
While it was drying, I stamped and fussy cut the layered carnation from Waffle Flower crafts.
I then die cut the word 'Happy' ( a Winnie and Walter die) out of white card stock and used Tim Holtz distress inks to colour the same to match the colours of the flower. I also cut out the word from white fun foam to back it and create some dimension.
I had a scrap piece of gold glitter card stock,
(I made this by applying gold glimmer paste to a piece of white card stock and allowing it to dry) left over from another project. I cut out the numbers 65 from the scraps as well as from some fun foam to use as a backing to create some dimension, like above.
I the adhered all the elements to the background panel and
adhered the same to a red coloured card base.
That gold 65 really makes the card pop I think!

See how the glimmer paste glitters?!

My second project is a bunch of fun gift tags in primary colours and a touch of gold!
I used stamps from the Hero Arts 'Christmas lights' stamp set for these tags. I heat embossed the strings of lights with gold embossing powder on white card stock, which, had been die cut into tags using MFT's tag die.
I then used Tim Holtz's Fired Brick, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed distress inks to to smoosh some colour onto the tags.
I love how fun and celeberatory they are!
I finished the tags with some May Arts jute ribbon and a golden bell!

I hope you have been inspired to play along with my Touch Of Gold challenge!
I can't wait to see what you create!

I will have more inspiration coming your way during the month,
from the winners of the September challenge.
