Now for some inspiration...

Raksha Bandhan is around the corner and I thought this card would be most appropriate to send out to a dear brother with a rakhi!
The sentiment is sure to make him smile!

the sentiment is combination of stamps from MFT stamps and Papersmooches stamps which a put together on a MISTI tool in order to get precise stamping on the card. I handwrote the words I didnt have and used individual alphabet stamps to create the word 'WORLD'.
The focal image is a die from MFT. I watercoloured a piece of cardstock and then die cut the little boys and girls!
I created the background using Craftangles stencils and mama elephant yellow ink.

Do you have a cousin who is your best friend?
To make this tag, I first cut out a circle using Simon Says Stamp stitched circles. I then punched out circles with my circle punches in different sizes from scrap patterned paper.
I then stamped the sentiment (combination of Simon Says Stamp and Papersmooches stamps) and added the circles and  Pretty Pink Posh sequins randomly.
I love the sentiment as all my cousins and my cousins-in-law are my best friends! We may all be different but we are one in the family circle!
I love the way the colours pop against the kraft bag!

Now for some more inspiration!!

AUGUST GUEST DESIGNER

This month Deepti Mallik as our guest designer!!!
If you follow her work, you can imagine why I am so thrilled that she agree to guest design for my challenge!! I just adore the card and tag she has made for this challenge...the blue watercolouring really looks like the swirling ocean!!!
truly inspirational!

Here is what she has to say about herself and her creations!!

About Me

I am a sketch artist by default and a card maker by choice.
My card making started with making some new year cards back in 2013 and now it has turned into a passion.
I moved a step ahead last year as I started to illustrate my own designs with my line of stamps "Dees Artsy Impressions" under the umbrella of STAMPlorations :)
I am also an instructor at Craftsy where I teach a class on Watercolour  Cards made Simple.
Besides doing all the creative work, I am also a new mom to my son Siddharth. Life has transformed after his arrival but I am loving the learning here too ;)
I want to thank Paru for having me here:)

About the card...

I made a card with my favourite watercolouring.
I embossed the images and then watercolored it using Gansai Tambi watercolours.

About the Tag...

I did some traditional stamping, die-cutting, patterned paper mix and another of my recent favourite
Prisma colour pencil colouring :)

Deepti has very generously giving away one of her own stampsets as a prize this month!

Now for some inspiration...

What do you think of when you think of Summer??
To me summer is mangoes, ice creams, bright flowers and sunny hot days!

To make this card, I created my own patterned paper (on Photoshop) with a mango motif.
I then added the pretty yellow floral paper from Doodlebug designs along with the polaroid die cut  (Lawn Fawn), the sun die cut (Sizzix) and the goggles die cut (Impression Obsession).
I finished the card with a heat embossed sentiment on Vellum from Paper Smooches.

For this tag, I die cut two popsicles (Scrapping cottage) and watercoloured them in mango and raspberry flavours!
I stamped ice cubes (PTI) on the tag and adhered the popsicles with foam tape.
I finished the tag with pink and orange bakers twine.
Doesn't really need a sentiment no?

I am excited today to be guest designing here, it is such an honour!

Card
It's no secret that I adore Lawn Fawn stamps and I thought 'Cruising through life" stamp set was perfect to create a lovely sunny day in the park.

The sun and the clouds are from Jane's Doodles Seamus Stamp Set and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I white heat embossed all the elements on Canson Watercolour Paper and then coloured with distress inks and a waterbrush.

Tag
Now what's summer without some lemonade..right?
For the tag, I used another Lawn Fawn mini stamp set called "Make Lemonade". I stamped the imae on Canson Watercolour paper and coloured them using Faber Castell Markers. I fussy cut the lemon and popped it up using some foam tape.
For the sentiment, I combined two different stamps-Lawn Fawn Best Pun ever and Hero Arts Magical Castle. I also lightly inked the edges using some crushed olive distress ink and a sponge dauber and tied some jute string.

I hope you like the projects I have created and feel inspired to play along!

We have some awesome prizes up for grabs!

A Rs.1000/- voucher from A1 Craft Supply

and

A $25 gift voucher from Winnie and Walter

Here is some inspiration to get you started....

To make this card I decided to use NEW stuff from my stash. Something I have never used before!
The gold glitter patterned paper is a free down load from Winnie and Walter, as are the Cheers die and the confetti cutaways.
I added some pretty pink posh sequins to add some more cheer and sparkle.

To make the shaker tag, I used NEW shaker pouches from Impression Obsession. They are just fantastic to use...so easy and simple!
I had two squares cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched squares left over after making my Christmas cards. So I decided to use them to make a tag.
The stamps are from the Avery Elle birthday animal stamp set and the sequins are from my stash.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with! It's an exciting start to the new year isn't it?
