Now for some inspiration...
For the note card, I started out with a 3"x4" piece of card stock
which I embossed using the cuttlebug embossing folder (swirls). I adhered this to a card base.
I then cut a vase (Paper Smooches die) from my favourite patterned paper, added a golden twig (memory box die) and a Simon Says Stamp gold embossed sentiment to finish the card
A simple yet elegant little note card.

For this tag, I used the free die that I received from mftstamps when I placed and order with them!
It is such a beautiful die!
I first cut the tag using simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles die.
Then, I used a Tim Holtz stencil to create the background and simply adhered the die cut to the tag
I finished the tag with a bit of yellow ribbon.
To inspire you further,
the incredibly talented Hussena Calcuttawala of Quill and Punch works
is the guest Designer this month!
Here is what she has made...
Hello Crafters!
I am so glad to be joining Paru's Card Making Challenges as a Guest Designer today.
It is an absolute honour to be invited.
Thank you so much Paru for giving me this opportunity.
I love playing your challenges..they are always so interesting.
Here's wishing your challenge blog a very happy first anniversary:)
About me..
I am Hussena from Kolkata, India and I am a SAHM of two kids.
I like to make a variety of projects and my current love is stamping.
I blog at Quill and Punch Works and you can check out more of my work there :)
I have created a card and two tags for the challenges this month.
I wanted them to look like a set,
so I have used the same stamp set and colour combinations for all of them.I wanted the sentiments to be generic so it could be given as a gift set.
To create my card, I have used Altenew painted flowers set.
I used Altenew inks for colouring.
I stamped and die cut the flowers and leaves using the co-ordinating dies.
This made my work so much easier.
then I die cut a panel using a Paper smooches border die to create a frame.
The sentiment comes from another Altenew set-Lavel Love.
I added a few black paint splatters and silver stars and sequins for the finishing touches.
To create my tags, I have used the Lawn Fawn 'Tag U're It' stamp and coordinating die set.
I gold embossed the outline of one of the tags to add some extra interest.
I used the Altenew painted flowers set for the flowers and,
the sentiment is from the same Lawn Fawn set.
I added a few Nuvo Crystal dots to embellish and tied some silver and gold mesh ribbon along with thin black ribbon to finish them off.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your one-year anniversary, Paru! I wish you many more years! I'm sorry that Google is refusing to let me follow, even trying my secret double-clicking which has always worked in the past. I will come back tomorrow to try again. I know I had followed you here a year ago, but now it shows the "Follow" button instead of "Unfollow." So frustrating!! Hugs, Darnell
