INSPIRATION

To start off, I layered red and green Simon Says Stamp Stitched die cut panels on a white card base.
I then die cut the elf legs, put them upside down on a tag die cut and added the sentiment from Craftangles  'santa claus' stamp set.

I added some twine and some shiny stars and the card was done.
Quick and simple!

Here, I started out with a tag, die cut from Kraft card stock. On this I stamped the mason jar and christmas elements from a Hero Arts stamp set.
I coloured it in and used mu white gel pen to add some details for interest. The sentiment is from Craftangles 'Season's greeetings' stamp set.
I added some red and white bakers twine to finish the card.

I also made these super fun Santa
Claus gift envelopes. They are pretty simple.. a piece of black paper wrapped around the envelope and a square frame cut out of gold and silver glitter card stock, along with a stamped and fussy cut sentiment from Craftangles.

I hope these cards, inspire you to
bring out those Christmas goodies and come and play!

Now for some inspiration...

As the theme is anything goes, I decided to make  a Spiderman themed notecard and tag!

For the card, I started by using my oval punch to create the basic shape.
I then used a Steadler XS tip pen to create the web.
For the eyes, I die cut the Impression Obsession spectacles in black and white; Cut the black spectacles in the middle and added the white centres.

I die cut a white square using Simon Says Stamp Stitched squares, to use as the background.
I drew the spider web using a black micro tip pen.
I then adhered it to a kraft 3"x3" kraft card base to make a fun note card.

For the tag, I started by using an Oval die cut.
I drew a spiderweb using a black micro tip pen.

I used the love sign hand from Paper Smooches 'Helping Hands' to create Spiderman's hand!
I drew the spider web on the hand using the same micro tip pen as before, and added it to the centre of the web.
I added a sentiment from Stampendous'  'Cupcake Numbers' stamp set.

I'm quite thrilled the way these two turned out! I hope to have inspired to play with your supplies and create something different!

To inspire you further, I have a fabulous Guest Designer this month...

Hi Friends
Am delighted to guest design here today at ParuCardmaking Challenges. Its such an honor to be invited and Thanks much for the lovely opportunity, Paru.

Little bit about me!

I Am SathyaKala, Toxicologist by Qualification and Passionate Papercraft Enthusiast. Am from Chennai, currently residing at UAE. Married to a wonderful friend and we are blessed with 8 year son.

Am inclined towards art forms from childhood. Its much with Dance and Music in earlier part of my childhood with coloring, embroidery being my favorite hobby. When i stumbled upon a Food-Art blog in 2011, i discovered my passion for Quilling, which led me to where am today.

I dabble with different art forms - Quilling, Cardmaking, Mixed media, Coloring and Brush Lettering. This keeps things fresh and my mind inventive. I find that one passion crosses over the next, giving a different spin to it.

You can find me at my blog : Paperie Expressions and at Instagram : sathyakala.23

This month’s theme is  "Anything Goes" at PCM and i have come up with a Mixed media card and a Tag.

First up is Mixed media Card.

Made a mixed media square card. Lot of stamping , stenciling and texture pastes on the background.
Floral cluster along with tinted cheesecloth, twine bow are made on a doily.
Few vellum butterflies, generous splashes of white gesso and few clear droplets are added as finishing touches.

Next up is a Simple Tag.

Made a simple Tag, with watercolor bg using Brusho crystals.
Stamped leaves stamp using Green archival ink followed by Watereffects Stamp using black archival ink.
Sentiment is stamped over Vellum and added with few vellum butterflies.
As a final touch, added glossy accents to few raindrops.

Now for some inspiration...

For this months's 3 colour challenge, I have made this fun shaker card! I have used a white card base, black and white twine and the three colours, red, yellow and green, to make this card.
I used Peek-a-boo scalloped circle die to make this shaker.
I used the die to cut seven scalloped circles, which I then stacked using Ranger multi medium matte. I added a piece of acetate before adding on the final layer of circle. I created a background using
Lawn Fawn's  'Sew Lovely' stamp set.
I placed the sentiment from MFT's 'Sew Nifty' stamp and die set across the shaker to finish the card.

For the tag, I started with a cream coloured tag, cut using MFT's 'tag you're it' stamp and die set.
I then stamped the gingham pattern in brown across the bottom of the tag. I added a bright yellow die cut sunflower (spellbinders), some Mayarts twine, a wooden button and some red sequins to finish the tag. The sentiment from Hero Arts, really pops on the checked background, don't you think?

To inspire you further, the fabulous Jasleen Kaur is in the house!!
Here's what she has to say...

Jasleen Kaur

Hello!
I'm Jasleen and i feel so happy to be invited over at Paru's Card Making Challenges
 as a Guest Designer.
I started my crafting and blogging journey three years ago when I accidently stumbled upon some beautiful handmade cards while surfing the internet.
Card making and quilling are what I enjoy most, and I'm more inclined towards Clean and Simple, minimalist style of card making.
I mostly draw my inspiration from the simple things I come across in day-to-day life, and when I need to recharge my mind with a creative dose of inspiration, visiting blogs of other card makers and crafters helps a lot.

You can view more of my workon my blog Happily Ever Crafter or my Instagram Account.

Thank You paru for this amazing opportunity.

I'm sharing a card and two tags I made keeping this month's challenge theme in mind, which is to use just three colours (other than black, white and kraft) on your card or tag.

Here is the card..

This clean and simple one-layered card
was made using floral stamps from
Happy Little Stampers 'Doodled flowers' stamp set.
I coloured them using Faber Castell watercolour pencils and connector pens.
The sentiment is from MFT's 'Donuts and Sprinkles' stamp set and
from Mudra's 'Mom I Love You' stamp set.
I have also stamped on the inside of the card.

To make the first tag, I die cut the scalloped  circle using the Sizzix framelits die-scalloped circles. That cup was make by hand, cutting and then scoring with the help of MS scoring tool and
bone folder, followed by sponging it with brown ink.
The yellow cake was made using felt and the 'cherry' on the top is a die cut heart.
The base was lightly sponged using distress ink-salty ocean and
the little cupcake was mounted over this base.

The second simple tag has the sentiment stamp from Inkadinkado 'Kids Quotes', which, is heat embossed in white over a kraft tag.
The umbrella and the cloud are stamps from Janes Doodles -Rain or Shine set.

I hope you feel inspired to play along with this month's colourful challenge!
Love
Jasleen.

I hope you have been inspired!
Happy Crafting!
